Tchogha Zanbil
Introduction to the Gallery: Tchogha Zanbil
The ziggurat of the Elamite complex of Tchogha Zanbil. The only existing ziggurat I know of outside Iraq. It is located about 30 km southeast of Susa. Dates from 1250 BC it was built by King Untash Napirisha.
