Tunisians

Introduction for Tunisians

During the 1980s and 1990s I visited Tunisia at least half a dozen times and got to know the country thoroughly. In my opinion Tunisia stands the best chance of achieving a positive outcome following the revolution that ousted their dictator/president. The reason is simply because in Tunisia the population is both relatively small and the level of education significantly higher than in most other Arab Spring countries. Douz is one of the last towns in southwest Tunisia before it’s overwhelmed by the Sahara. It seems to me the further one goes into the desert, the more unconventional things become. How’s that for a teaser?
